Privacy

This policy covers bg.4brainslabs.com, operated by 4Brains Technologies Private Limited. The important part is the first section, and it is short.

Your image

Removing a background needs a graphics card, so this tool cannot run entirely in your browser and we will not pretend otherwise. When you press the button:

• The file is uploaded to our server over an encrypted connection.
• It is passed to a graphics card that we own and operate ourselves, in our own office. It is not sent to any third-party service, and no outside company sees it.
• The result is streamed straight back to your browser.
• Nothing is written to disk at any point. Both the upload and the result exist only in memory, for the few seconds the work takes, and are released as soon as the response has been sent.

There is no gallery, no history, no queue you can be looked up in, and no account for anything to be attached to. Your picture is never used to train a model, is never reviewed by a person, and is never shared. Because nothing is kept, there is also nothing for anyone else to obtain: not us, not a future owner of the company, not anyone with a subpoena.

The one qualification: we cannot control what happens to the file on the network path between your device and us beyond encrypting it, and if you have a legal obligation over a particular image — a medical record, a document with someone else’s personal data in it — you should satisfy yourself that uploading it anywhere is appropriate.

What the site does collect

• Server logs. Standard, short-lived access logs: IP address, browser type, the page or endpoint requested, the response code and the time. They exist to keep the service running and to spot abuse. They record that an upload happened, never what was in it.
• Rate-limit counters. A count of recent requests per IP address, held in memory for a few minutes so that one visitor cannot monopolise the graphics card. It is a number, not a record of you, and it disappears on its own.
• Analytics. Google Analytics tells us which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from, so we know what to work on. It runs on the pages, not on the tool, and it never sees your image.
• Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser sends its IP address to Google as part of that request, as it would for any web resource.

No advertising

There are no ads on this site and no advertising scripts or cookies. If that changes we will say so here first, and update the date at the top of this page.

Cookies

The tool itself sets no cookies; you can use it without accepting anything. Google Analytics sets its own to tell repeat visits apart, and blocking them does not affect the tool in any way.

Your rights

Because we keep no images and no account, there is in practice nothing about you to access, correct, export or delete. For anything to do with this policy, write to contact@4brains.in.

Children

The tool is not directed at children and we knowingly collect nothing from them, which is straightforward given that we collect nothing from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
